COURSE DESCRIPTION
This is the fourth level Visual Arts course and it deals with art in its 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional forms. A variety of mediums will be explored, which may include pencil, color pencils, markers, paper, watercolor, acrylic paints…and more! Students will participate in a wide range of experiences using drawing, painting, and building techniques designed to foster artistic and creative confidence. Students will learn the elements of art and the principles of design, as well as an appreciation for art from various cultures which will be developed through the study of art history. Projects are designed to teach critical thinking skills and and thoughtful expression which will be of value to them in any field of study they choose.
