INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
for Please know that you are all in our prayers during this global health crisis. The teachers and staff At Schoolhouse Preparatory are working very hard to keep our students actively engaged and challenged through the online platform of the “Virtual Classroom”. Students are following their regular schedules and are graded daily for assignments. Attendance is taken regularly during each class and parents are contacted immediately in case of an absence.
As of right now, it appears Miami-Dade County schools will remain closed through May 3rd. We have all needed to adapt to this “New Normal”. Although we are living through very uncertain times, and while none of us can predict the future, our commitment is to keep you updated and be in regular communication as we navigate difficult decisions during this global pandemic. One thing remains certain - We remain committed to providing a quality education for all our students, even if it’s through the virtual classroom.
Although our campus is closed, our school is operating regularly, and our teachers are working regular hours. Tuition will be collected for April and May. Parents of students who receive McKay Funds will be required to visit the school to endorse checks. Please see instructions for signing the McKay Checks https://www.schoolhouseportal.com/mckay-checks.html.
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is a rapidly changing situation. We are approaching this “one day at a time”. Optimism is not a plan, and neither is panic. We are committed to keeping you informed and to taking care of the health and safety of our students and staff. We will take actions that are grounded in the best information available each day. We should not panic, scare our children, or make decisions in haste. Instead, we must be prepared and follow closely the recommendations by the experts, including the CDC.
Be assured you that your Wolfpack family will be here to provide you the support and guidance needed during this crisis. We will continue to pray for the health and safety of our families and loved ones. Let's all focus on keeping ourselves, our families, and our students healthy and we will get through this!
God Bless You All,
Coach Luis and Dr. Gigi
